The following is an adaptation of the writings found in the book of Proverbs chapter thirty one, beginning at verse ten. This is who we are, and who we will continue to be, for the year 2021. Happy New Year to everyone!
Verses 10-12
Who can find a virtuous and capable organization? Such is more precious that rubies. The community can trust such an organization, and know that their lives will be greatly enriched. An organization like this will always bring good, and never do harm, as long as it is in existence.
Verses 13-15
Petersburg Home for Ladies always finds a way to make life work. We are like a merchant’s ship bringing good from afar. Our team is busy, getting up early to start the day before our ladies, and strategically implementing routines to keep us goal oriented.
Verses 16-18
The Ladies Home is blessed with the ability to be self-reliant and invests in the future while in the midst of challenge. There is an energy, a strength, and a work ethic within all of us, and though many rise early, others on our team continue steadfastly through the night.
Verses 19-21
Petersburg Home for Ladies operates with innovation. We are an agent of blessing to all whom we touch. We meet human needs by providing security, companionship, care and love. We are here to stay, and we do not fear what lies ahead.
Verses 22-24
The Ladies Home is truly elegant living with exceptional care. The influence of Petersburg Home for Ladies reaches much farther than the walls of our building or our city block. The community is a part of who we are, and we are honored to be a part of our city.
Verses 25-27
Petersburg Home for Ladies has a history of dignity and strength. Our founders and leaders have been filled with wisdom, laughter, kindness and instruction since our conception in 1925. In response to this level of quality, our team makes certain that everything under our roof is managed in a manner which promotes beauty and showcases excellence.
Verses 28-29
The employees and community partners connected with the Ladies Home are always treated with respect and care. The Ladies Home goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone, and everything, is managed to perfection.
Verses 30-31
While flowers may fade and the gardens may be redesigned, Petersburg Home for Ladies continues as a lasting presence; one which honors God, our county and our community. May we continue to be an influence in this new year as we look towards an enduring future.
