General Admission Information
The Petersburg Home for Ladies accepts, for admission, older women who can function in either a residential or assisted living facility. Increased levels of assisted living care services are available at an additional fee. The Petersburg Home for Ladies is a private, non-profit organization and does not accept Medicare or Medicaid reimbursements.

Prospective residents must have a physical examination within a 30 day period prior to admission in order to ensure the Ladies Home can provide care appropriate to their needs. The Ladies Home is not licensed as a nursing home and cannot admit or keep residents who have medical conditions beyond its scope of care as described in 22 VAC 40-73-310.[Virginia Standards and Regulations for Assisted Living Facilities]
