The Petersburg Home for Ladies accommodates 45 residents in a warm and nurturing atmosphere designed to make residents feel at home. We provide personal services that may be unavailable elsewhere.

The Ladies Home offers seasonal clothing storage. Housekeeping staff will follow your directions in packing and storing the clothing you don’t need in summer or winter.

Residents may bring their own cars to the Ladies Home so they can pursue the community activities they have participated in all their adult lives, attending their own churches and garden club meetings or exercising at the local YMCA.

For those unable to go out for a morning or afternoon on their own, the Ladies Home provides a full schedule of activities. There are fashion sales and shows, pizza parties, pet visits, musical concerts, and special speakers. A small bus with wheelchair accessibility, carries residents to theater performances, restaurants, museum exhibitions, and local malls. Trips to the bank are easily arranged.

Invite your friends to play bridge in the Blue Room. Extend an invitation to family or friends to attend our Spring Fling, an annual gala cocktail party where we open up the Ladies Home and its beautiful gardens for guests to enjoy.

Many ladies maintain their total independence throughout their stay with us. However, if a resident needs assistance at a higher level, the Ladies Home offers additional levels of assisted living care, including memory care, at an increased monthly fee.

Our licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants are available to help residents with their activities of daily living including bathing and dressing. Trained staff members also assist with medication management when needed.
